StrataClear ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.

- Uploaded Documents: We collect the strata report documents you upload for analysis. These documents may contain personal information about residents of the property. We use this information to provide our analysis service and, in aggregated or de-identified form, to improve and develop the Service.
- Usage Data: We may automatically collect information about your device and how you interact with our service, such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the time and date of your visit.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Provide, operate, and maintain our services, including analysing the documents you upload.
- Improve, personalise, and develop our services, including using uploaded document content to improve the accuracy and performance of our analysis.
- Communicate with you, including for customer service and to send you updates about your reports.
- Process your payments.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties except in the following situations:
- Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors who perform services for us, such as payment processing and data storage. These vendors have access to your personal information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
- AI Sub-processors: The content of the documents you upload is processed by third-party AI models (e.g., Google) to provide the analysis. We have agreements in place with these providers that prohibit them from using your data to train their models. This prohibition is separate from StrataClear's own use of document content (in aggregated or de-identified form) to improve and develop the Service as described above.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
4. Data Security
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. All uploaded documents are encrypted at rest and in transit. However, no electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You may request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or out-of-date personal information.
- Deletion: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to any legal retention obligations we are required to comply with.
- Complaints: If you believe we have handled your personal information in a way that does not comply with the APPs, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
